Sexual Assault
The Westminster Police Department is investigating an alleged sexual assault and is seeking any additional victims.
On May 12, 2023 a female victim stated she contacted a private, unlicensed, alternative therapist to help her deal with previous trauma. During her session, the female victim stated she was sexually assaulted.
Trinidad Ruiz was arrested and charged with: 18-3-405.5(1)(A)(I) - Sexual Assault on a Client by Psychotherapist - Penetration or Intrusion
It is possible there are other victims in the community and we are asking if anyone believes, while under his care, they had an inappropriate sexual interaction with the suspect to contact Westminster Police 303 658 4360 (opt 2) - reference case number 2023-08678
The suspect is identified as Trinidad Ruiz – 48 years old.
The arrest and filing of a criminal charge are merely a formal accusation that an individual committed a crime. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
