MRHS administrator arrested for suspected inappropriate conduct with a child

WESTMINSTER, Colo – Officers with the Westminster Police Department arrested a school administrator with Mountain Range High School Monday afternoon for suspicion of inappropriate conduct with a child.

Over the weekend, several reports were made through Safe2Tell, an anonymous online reporting tool, alleging Tate Drane, 27, sent inappropriate photos to an underage student. We recognize the gravity of this situation and take all allegations of this nature very seriously.

After further investigation, Drane was taken into custody on the following charges:

  • 18-3-405.3(1) Sexual Assault on a Child by One in a Position of Trust – Victim Under 15 Years or Pattern of Abuse
  • 18-3-405.4(1)(B) Internet Sexual Exploitation of a Child - Observe Subjects Intimate Parts
  • 18-3-306(1) Internet Luring of a Child
