WPD responds to single-vehicle fatal crash

WESTMINSTER, Colo – On October 14, 2024, just after 7:30 p.m., officers with the Westminster Police Department responded to the area of 92nd Pl and N Grove St for reports of a single-vehicle crash.

After further investigation, it was determined the driver of a truck appeared to have had a medical event, veered off the roadway and crashed into a fence. The 71-year-old driver was unconscious when medics arrived and life-saving measures were performed. Medics transported the driver to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.

The victim’s identity will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.

This is currently an ongoing investigation. Speed, drugs and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor in the crash.

The vehicle struck a fence in the 3200 block of W 92nd Pl.
