WESTMINSTER, Colo – WPD officers are investigating a fatal crash that occurred Saturday afternoon in the northern part of the city.
On Jan. 18, just before noon, officers responded to reports of a crash with serious injuries near W 122nd Ave and Huron St. Preliminary information indicates a vehicle traveling northbound on Huron St crossed into oncoming traffic and struck a southbound vehicle. The adult male driver of the vehicle traveling northbound died from his injuries. The driver of the southbound vehicle was not injured.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation. At this time, alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be a factor.
The victim’s identity will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office. This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is asked to contact the Westminster Police Department at 303-658-4360.
It should be noted that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
