WESTMINSTER, Colo -- Early this morning, WPD narcotics detectives and SWAT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 9600 block of Carr St. as part of an ongoing investigation into drug and firearm distribution. Two individuals were taken into custody, and officers recovered narcotics and stolen property at the scene. This isn’t the first time law enforcement has responded to this location. About a year ago, WPD SWAT & detectives seized two pounds of methamphetamine and an AR-15 rifle from the same residence.

We understand the community's frustration with problematic properties like this one. While we cannot evict residents or dictate property management decisions, our role is to enforce the law — conducting thorough investigations, making arrests and turning cases over to the Criminal Justice System.

This morning's operation was the result of proactive patrol efforts by our dedicated officers. We truly appreciate your patience and support as we worked to ensure everyone's safety.

If you see suspicious activity, please don't hesitate to call WPD at 303-658-4360.

It should be noted that all persons are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
