Early Friday morning at approximately 12:30 am, Westminster police were called to the 8500 block of 88th Place on reports of a shooting. When officers arrived, they learned that one adult female had been shot. Officers immediately began performing lifesaving saving measures. The female was transported to a local hospital, unfortunately she later died from her injuries.
The identity of the female victim will be released by the Jefferson County Coroner’s office.
Preliminary information lead police to believe this was a drive by shooting. There were five adults and five children inside the home when this occurred. There will be a heavy police presence in the area while the investigation continues throughout the day.
