WPD searching for assault suspect(s)

WESTMINSTER, Colo – Officers with the Westminster Police Department are currently searching for the suspect(s) responsible for assaulting a man who later died.

On Sunday, Oct. 20, between 7:27 p.m. and 7:35 p.m., a 34-year-old man was assaulted near 121st Ave and Huron St. The man was transported to the hospital with serious injuries and died a few weeks later. An official cause of death has not yet been determined and will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office. At this time, no suspect(s) have been arrested.

Police have been in contact with the victim’s family and the investigation is ongoing. This incident appears to be isolated and there is no ongoing threat to the community.
